4 Must-Have Lip Colors & Tips

Hello Beautiful People :-)

Before I start, I must warn that by the end of this post, you'll be tired of seeing my face (hehe!).  I know it's been a while I posted last...pardon me please :-), I've been quite busy!

Your lip is the Pièce de résistance of any outfit and it's just as important an accessory as say, your purse or shoes!

I have had some ladies asking me what lip color I have on, some I don't really have an answer to because most times I use different colors of lip pencils and most with same lip color to create different effects.

This post is just mainly to let you know in my opinion the must have lip colors every lady should have in their makeup bag. If you have these colors you can be so versatile with them  (Day, Evening and Night time).

1. Nude

Lipstick - L.A Girl (Rendezvous)

Now lets start with the best color in my opinion (Nude). As you can see from the picture above, I have used one nude lip color to create different effects.

1. Nude (No lip liner): It looks like I have barely used any lipstick (*wink*). This can totally be used when you use a loud eyeshadow color and want to go plain with the lips. It can also be used as an office look.

2. Nude with a Pink lip liner: This is one of the effects I love the most. It looks like a subtle pink. So, If you want a hint of pink, but not too loud...this effect would work perfectly.

3. Nude with Black Tulip lip liner (Wine-ish color): This I also love. Its a lovely day look.

4. Nude with Orange lip liner: Yes Orange! I know its hard to believe because as you know orange is a bright color, however the nude color makes it soft and it creates a peach-like look (Love.. Love..Love).

Nude is just that color you can afford to get as many lip liner colors as you want, to create lovely effects with. So you would not necessarily need loads of lipsticks in your makeup bag (*wink*)

2. Pink

Lipstick - Beauty UK (Candy) similar to Mac's Candy Yum Yum!

Pink is just that color that goes with all skin tones. So that's why I always advice every lady should own a pink lipstick :-). The picture above are just different effects made with some lip liner colors.

Pink is just that color that goes with all skin tones. So that's why I always advice every lady should own a pink lipstick :-). The picture above are just different effects made with some lip liner colors.

1. Pink (No Lip liner):This is for those days when your rushing out and you have no time to line your lips.

2. Pink with Brown lip liner: This is when you want to soften the pink color to look more natural.

3. Pink with Pink lip liner: When you want to create two effects of pink, this would really pop.

4. Pink with Black Tunip lip liner: Love this for an evening look. Cannot go wrong!

3. Purple

Lipstick - Mac Matte Heroine

1. Purple (No lip liner): It's a darker shade so you cannot really use as many lip liner colors with it as the two lip colors above.

2. Purple (Black lip liner): If you want a darker shade of purple, feel free to line your lips black, not too black unless you going for a Gothic look. Line lip lightly with your black lip liner and blend well :-).

4. Red

Lipstick - Mac Retro Matte Riri Woo

1. Red (No Lip Liner): When you want a loud look, Red is it!.

2: Red (Black lip liner): When you want a darker shade of red :-).

So there you have it ladies, You don't need to have hundreds of lipsticks unless you are a Makeup Artist. As for me, If you have these four lip colors especially the nude, you can create various effects with them.

Have a Nice Weekend
