A Review: Beauty Blender

If your one of those people that has heard about beauty blenders but never bothered to go get one, I hope this review would be informative enough to make you try it out.

I watch alot of youtube beauty videos and like most of us, I see alot of reviews about how great beauty blenders are. I always thought it was over-rated and people would stop going on about it soon. However, as a beauty blogger, I'm one of those curious ones that would go buy it just to see the difference and then of course let you ladies know what my opinion is!

If you remember my last post about the two different types of foundation brushes and which one I like the most? Well after using the beauty blender to apply my foundation as seen in the pictures above! I must say now I get what the hype is about.

Using the BB to apply your foundation gives a flawless finish and to be honest kind of fun to use (so bouncy!) like seriously ladies you have to get one for your self to understand why I'm so excited. It's like the best thing that happened to the beauty industry.

It so perfect for blending especially when it comes to highlighting, you don't want your highlights to become obvious in pictures, especially the fact that highlights are usually a shade or 2 shades lighter than your foundation, well you don't want anyone to know that(lol) so the beauty blender makes it so easy to blend and you end up with that flawless finish.

When you buy this amazing sponge, it looks very tiny at first. Before using, please place sponge inside a bowl of water and squeeze, when squeezing, the sponge will expand in size, almost like double its original size. The next step is to take it out of the water and get rid of any water in the sponge before using.

The issues I have with the BB is cleaning, it takes time to clean. I get a bowl of water with shampoo, then squeeze out the foundation until the sponge is clear and clean. Also, the sponge could soak foundation, so when using it, dab it on as desired, avoid rubbing.  I noticed rubbing would not give that flawless coverage you might desire. Lastly when cleaning the sponge you would need to be careful, the pointed part of mine tore off when I washed it last ;-(, and the pointed bit is so great for corners of the face and highlighting the nose, so ladies please learn from my mistake and wash gently!

There are so many dupes of beauty blender out there, and reviews have said how the dupes is no where near as good as the original, so ladies be careful where you get yours to avoid buying a dupe!

I bought my beauty blender for N4000 at Gifty's Daughter
