Hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend?!. So over the weekend, I found myself in a rather helpless situation, took out my weave and had no time to go fix another. As a typical Nigerian girl, going to the office with my unrelaxed natural hair was a NO NO...so I decided to borrow a friend's wig as last result bearing in mind it's something I've never thought of doing. Yes, That's me rocking a wig in the picture above :-).
My thoughts about wearing wigs are:
Positives:
- It's a life saver, for bad hair days!
- It actually reduces the need to keep relaxing your hair all the time
- You can have a different look every week which could be cool
- Saves time and money for busy ladies
Negatives:
- You need to exhibit confidence to able to rock it
- Never get into a fight wearing a wig (Not lady-like anyways)
- Don't scratch your head cause you'll look wiered
- Might be a bad idea on a first date (Lol!)
- If it's not human hair wig, don't even bother getting one
- They could be uncomfortable especially if it's too tight.
- Could be a bad idea wearing a wig on a windy day :-)!
There you are ladies, my thoughts on wearing wigs. Although I have more negatives on the subject than positives, I still think owning one for emergency bad hair days wouldn't be a bad idea after-all.
